Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how the Sawi app (the “App”, “we”) collects, uses and protects your data when you use the App or the sawi.io website.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your name and email or mobile number when you create an account, or your sign-in identifier via Apple/Google if you choose it.
• Approximate location: to determine your city and show prices at nearby stores. You can deny permission and pick your city manually.
• Usage data: your searches, favorite products, the alerts you enable, and the contents of your basket and routine — to provide and improve the service.
• Camera and microphone: the camera is used to scan barcodes and capture lists and receipts, and the microphone for voice search — only when you request it, with no background recording.
• Technical data: device type, operating system, and diagnostic identifiers to fix crashes.

2. How we use your data

• Showing and comparing the prices and offers relevant to your city.
• Sending the price-drop alerts and restock notifications you’ve enabled.
• Improving search accuracy and recommendations in the app.
• Fixing crashes and securing the service.

3. Sharing data

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We may share aggregated data that does not identify you (such as price trends and category interest) with our Sawi for Business partners, and we may use technical service providers (hosting, notifications, analytics) who are contractually bound to protect the data.

4. Storage and security

We store data on secure cloud infrastructure and apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we review our measures continuously.

5. Your rights

• Access, correct or delete your data through account settings or by contacting us.
• Turn off notifications or revoke location/camera/microphone permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Permanently delete your account; we will delete the personal data associated with it within a reasonable period, except what must be retained by law.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will notify you of material changes in the app. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept it.
